Fresh talent at AGM with new appointment

AGM is pleased to announced the appointment of Anya Jeanes as Digital Assistant and Event Coordinator.

After working casually with the editorial team at ArchitectureNow since late 2022 while studying — including helping to organise the 2023 Interior Awards — Jeanes came on board as a full-time member of staff in February 2024.

Jeanes says she is grateful to be joining AGM full-time in a role where she can learn from so many people. “Having a dual role for the digital team and Interior Awards presents exciting opportunities that I look forward to experiencing.”

Graduating with a Bachelor of Communications in late 2023 from Auckland University of Technology (AUT) majoring in public relations, advertising and brand creativity, Jeanes is the coordinator and point of contact for this year’s Interior Awards, one of New Zealand’s most well-recognised awards programmes celebrating excellence in interior design.

ArchitectureNow’s Editor, Jacinda Rogers, says Jeanes’ forward-thinking nature, analytical mind and professionalism has been a huge asset to the digital team at AGM publishing, adding “both her professional and educational background make her incredibly suited to the dual role she’s taken on and I believe she’ll play a key part in the success of this year’s awards.”

Held annually in Auckland, the Interior Awards programme was launched by AGM in 2011. Publisher Nathan Inkpen supervises the event planning and communications of the Awards alongside Shannon Golding, an events specialist located in Australia.

Inkpen, who introduced Jeanes to the Interior Awards last year, says: “Anya worked with us last year on the awards programme on a part-time basis, where her enthusiasm and attention to detail were second to none. We particularly look forward to seeing Anya in a more central role with the 2024 Interior Awards and those to come.”
