Wellington sculptor Max Patté has revealed a series of three new light works, showing his playful evolution in light pieces.
Contrary to his previous light-work patterns, illuminating visuals of planetary movements and the mathematical realms, these patterns are far more personal and are all from hand-drawn doodles on the iPad.
Each piece has three patterns overlaid on each other, emanating different colours. As the colours are continuously transitioning, the optical effect is fleeting and momentary. This and other pieces from the collection are expected to be unveiled in Wellington on 17 August.
