Word of a new pop-up at 68A Ponsonby Road, Ponsonby, has peaked our interest. Home Base Collections, a Napier-based homewares and textiles brand and store, has moved north to Auckland temporarily and is due to open its doors on 13 September.

We met the creative talent behind Home Base Collections, Leanne Culy, on a recent trip to the Hawke’s Bay (read more about our visit here). Here to stay until 30 December, Culy and her team will bring the full suite of Home Base offerings to their temporary space, including textiles by Culy, prints by her artist husband Brian Culy, tin hanging lights and furniture (including one of our favourite pieces, the cute and practical side tables in ply and white pegboard – $592 each).

The good news is, if you’re not based in Auckland or Hawke’s Bay, you can still purchase all items online at homebasecollections.co.nz. And, there are plans for more Home Base pop-ups around the country in the coming months.
