Auckland Garden DesignFest

Up to 25 gardens by New Zealand’s top designers will be showcased in a two-day festival in Auckland. The second Auckland Garden DesignFest is a chance for gardeners, landscapers, designers and the general public to visit a range of beautifully designed gardens across Auckland and speak to the designers who conceived them.

The two-yearly festival was inspired by Melbourne’s renowned Rotary Garden DesignFest and is held in alternate years so gardening and design enthusiasts have the opportunity to go to festivals in both cities.

The Auckland Garden DesignFest is the brainchild of the Garden Design Society of NZ and the Rotary Club of Newmarket as a fundraiser for children’s charities and to showcase designers’ work.

Tickets for the fest will go on sale at iTICKET and selected retail outlets from August 5 and can be also be bought at the gardens on the tour days. Visitors can buy $50 All Garden Tickets or single garden tickets for $5 each.

Charities benefitting this year are Ronald McDonald House, KidsCan and Garden to Table.
