This free public event, part of the Christchurch Conversations series, takes place on 11 June from 6pm to 7:30pm and Tūranga in Cathedral Square.

Christchurch Conversations is a series of free events that seeks to foster discussions about the future of Christchurch as a city, presented by Christchurch City Council in partnership with Te Pūtahi . In the next conversation – taking place on Tuesday 11 June at Tūranga in Cathedral Square from 6pm to 7:30pm – Bill Reed will discuss regenerative development and design.

Reed is a principal of Regenesis Inc. – an organisation working to lift green building and community planning into full integration and evolution with living systems. He is an internationally recognised planning consultant, lecturer, and authority in sustainability and regeneration.

During this free public event, Reed will address the question of how to create places where nature and people thrive together. He’ll introduce attendees to the practical concepts of regenerative development and design, to help us all create a deeper, more enduring and mutually beneficial relationship between people and place.
