The NZIOB an Hilti are hosting a series of lectures titled ‘The Rise of the Internet of Things in the Construction Industry’.

The New Zealand Institute of Building and Hilti present this series of lectures across the country focusing on the rise of the Internet of Things (IoT) technologies in the construction industry. IoT refers to any object or machine component can have sensors installed to monitor operating conditions, performance levels and/or physical states.

The presentations in Wellington, Christchurch and Auckland will provide an overview of IoT technology and application across society and industries before focusing specifically on the innovations within the construction industry.

Wellington – 5.30pm, Tuesday 14 August, Victoria University School of Architecture

Christchurch – 5.30pm, Wednesday 15 August, Ara Kahukura Block

Auckland – 5.30pm, Monday 27 August, University of Auckland Business School

NZIOB members and tertiary students can attend for free. Tickets are $20 plus GST for non-members.
