Resene Architecture and Design Film Festival 2019

The eighth annual Resene Architecture & Design Film Festival is coming to a city near you. This year’s line-up will showcase the most acclaimed and current films in architecture and design, including documentaries on this century’s finest architects, super stars in the design field and movements for environmental change.

The festival will play nationwide in eight locations:

Auckland (Rialto Cinemas Newmarket): 2-19 May
Wellington (Embassy Theatre): 23 May – 9 June
Dunedin (Rialto Cinemas): 13–23 June
Christchurch (Academy Gold): 27 June – 10 July
New Plymouth (Event Cinemas): 20-26 June
Havelock North (Event Cinemas): 13-19 June

Tickets for the festival are on sale now.

Rialto Cinemas has once again partnered with Clearly & Co, who curated the spectacular films for this year’s line-up. Curators Clare Buchanan and Akiko Kurematu recognise the impact these films can have on our local audiences, “These films engage us to examine societal, cultural, and environmental changes as they happen, and to contemplate the role of architecture and design in his context’, says Kurematsu.
