Singapore will take the baton from Barcelona to host the fifth World Architecture Festival (WAF) in October 2012.

WAF is the largest global architecture event and features a comprehensive programme of presentations, seminars, exhibitions, and keynote addresses from international participants.

The festival’s architectural awards programme, the WAF Awards, will again be a focal point of the event. Shortlisted entrants will present their projects live to an international judging panel comprising some of the world’s leading architects and designers, and Festival delegates.

Former WAF Award winning project, the Marina Bay Sands resort designed by Moshe Safdie, will house this year’s event. Entries to WAF awards open on 1 May, 2012.
