Urbis has invited some of New Zealand’s top fashion talents to make a bespoke white cotton dress. The stunning creations were shot on location in Urbis issue 64 (in stores now) and soon you will have the opportunity to make one of these unique pieces yours. The designers involved include Juliette Hogan, Adrian Hailwood, Salasai, Alexandra Owen and Taylor Boutique.
The Couture for Christchurch charity auction will be run as a collaboration between Urbis and Webbs Auction House. You are invited to the stylish auction event on 2 December 2011. Sizing and style guides, as follows:
Alexandra Owen dress
A loose style, generously cut. Can be styled with a belt to suit sizes from 8-14. Please note the dress has been tailored from the editorial shoot to make it more fitted.
Adrian Hailwood dress
Suits sizes 8-14. Beautiful dress made from bespoke gold cotton mix brocade featuring a high, draped cowl neckline and deep scoop open back design to waistline. Cut generously so can be belted to suit all sizes. Shoulder width = 44cm.
Juliette Hogan skirt + top
Size 10 -12. Gorgeous high waisted, midi length skirt with exposed zip in back. Crafted from beautiful white cotton lace. Waist = 71cm.
Size 10. Fine cotton shirt with classic collar design and breast pockets. Open back from shoulder line to pinched waist. Shoulder width = 42cm.
Salasai dress
Size 8-10. Crafted from luxurious fine cotton with asymmetric detailing on front and elasticated fitted waist. Knee length dress. Shoulder width = 40cm.
Taylor Boutique dress
Size 10 - 12. Beautiful cotton dress, loose fitting with pleated layers, raised hemline at the front and side zip. Shoulder straps feature tiny black embroidered detail. Waist = 92cm Bust = 82cm.
It will be a night of fashion and philanthropy as we auction these five designer dresses with all proceeds going directly to Christchurch Women’s Refuge. Live bidding will also be available through the generous support of Artfact.
