Inspired by the stealth and style of Banksy, Auckland-based industrial designer Phil Walters embarked on a guerilla art project of his own, installing more than 40 life-sized, carved, metal bird sculptures in various urban spaces across New Zealand.

More recently these cheeky Metal Birds have chorused their way into an online store and selected retail spots across Auckland in four different designs - a Tui, Piwakawaka, Huia and Kereru - all constructed from corten steel which rusts to a deep brown.

Urbis has four Metal Birds to giveaway, valued at RRP$69 each. Want to attract real bird life to your backyard? Email urbiscomps@agm.co.nz with your name and contact details to go into the draw. Competition closes on 04 October, 2012.
