Paul Walker is associate professor and deputy dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning at the University of Melbourne. A respected critic, Walker has contributed to Architecture New Zealand since its inception in 1986, and is a regular contributor to Architecture Australia. He has researched and written widely on architectural history and historiography in New Zealand and other post-colonial contexts. With Justine Clark, he co-authored Looking for the Local: Architecture and the New Zealand Modern, published in 2000.
