You could tell something was happening at BoConcept before you even got inside. Not only was the music pumping but a canvas was coming to life as Designday guests added their own touch with Resene test pots. Inside, Huffer was holding the fort with a BoConcept couch upholstered with Huffer clothing, and designer Steve Dunston running a prize wheel. George FM was on the decks and filled the showroom with a pumping atmosphere.

But that wasn’t all. BoConcept had things happening in every part of the showroom. Stylist LeeAnn Yare had a body painter working on a model who by the end of the day, blended in almost entirely into the Florence Broadhurst wallpaper behind. Upstairs, LeeAnn has recently opened a store within the store called Collected where Yare has brought together her favourite pieces – elegant design objects as well as inexpensive fun bits.

As BoConcept becomes the anchoring showroom for a department store like concept, WORLD Beauty and Pencil boutique also join Collected and Citta Design.
