Two of the country’s most respected contemporary jewellery designers, Jacqui Chan and Octavia Cook, have been selected amongst 665 applicants worldwide to showcase their work at SCHMUCK - a prestigious international jewellery exhibition.
One of Jacqui’s more recent projects, Host a Brooch, presented by The National, was featured in the latest issue of Urbis. See issue 65, page 121.
Octavia is running a fundraising raffle to enable her to get to Munich in March. Tickets are available for $5 a pop and each ticket will put you in the draw to win one of nine lovely pieces of contemporary jewellery including work by Octavia Cook, Anna Wallis, Cheryl Sills, Jane Dodd, Renee Bevan, Jasmine Watson and Mia Straka.
If you’re based in Christchurch, pick up tickets from The National. If you live elsewhere, simply email workshopsix@gmail.com and purchase through online banking. Raffle closes 27 January, 2012.
