Freelance photographer Stuart Isett was born in Switzerland, raised in England, and despite his muddled accent, he is an American. He spent over a decade working in Bangkok, Tokyo and Paris before he moving to Seattle, USA, with his wife and two daughters. His work has been shown at the Visa Pour l’Image festival in France, the Reportage and Foto Freo festivals in Australia and the Daegu Photo Biennale in Korea. Isett also worked as a contractor for The New York Times for over 20 years and has earned an MFA in photography from Columbia College in Chicago, as well as a BA in Asian Studies from the University of Michigan.
